My girlfriend of 2 years has been "investing" our wedding fund into a platform she "vetted"—it was a Pig Butchering scam

The Science: This is a "Pig Butchering" (Shāzhūpán) scam. It involves "Grooming" the victim over months to build extreme trust before stealing their life savings.

The Solution: "We have to go to the FBI. The money is gone, but the fact that you hid this from me for months is what hurts the most. We need a 'Hard Reset' on how we handle money, or there won't be a wedding to pay for."
